ECOLAB® Certification – Ensuring Hygienic Reliability in Food Processing
In food and beverage production, hygiene is non-negotiable. Cleaning and disinfection processes expose equipment, cables, plugs, and conduit glands to aggressive chemicals, and only components built to withstand these conditions can ensure safe, uninterrupted operations.
What is ECOLAB®?
ECOLAB® is a global leader in industrial cleaning and hygiene solutions. Beyond providing a full range of cleaning agents and disinfectants for food processing equipment, ECOLAB® sets rigorous standards for hygiene-critical industries. Their testing services allow manufacturers to certify that products can endure demanding cleaning processes.

ECOLAB® Certification for LAPP Cables and Conduit Glands
Testing and Certification Process
LAPP carry out the ECOLAB® tests at their special designated laboratory in Stuttgart. The test for the ECOLAB® certificate is accurately recorded and documented. They then submit the documentation and the tested sample of the test analysis to ECOLAB®. If all criteria are met, ECOLAB® then issues the ECOLAB® certification based on the submitted data.
Why It Matters
Using ECOLAB®-certified components prevents corrosion, insulation swelling, or material degradation that could compromise functionality, production continuity, or consumer safety. In hygiene-critical environments, reliable, chemically resistant cables and conduit glands are essential to avoid costly downtime and safeguard both employees and end-users.
